As I reflect on the assignment for week 5 I am in a conundrum. Yes I want my kids to use technology to make positive change in the world, but how and what and where. And then I see this! Wrong Answers side and a Right Answers side! I am all about the wrong answers! I am the epitome of the the wrong answers side! And that is okay with me. The wrong answers are all tangible, do-able,  but combine them with the right answer side and you got yourself a meaningful little combo…For example, What if the students use the Prezi as the vehicle for change and  raise awareness of an issue that concerns them and do it in partners…right?

I have to start somewhere, even on the wrong side of things sometimes. So use the student created blogs (wrong), help them find a message (right), something to say, and then bring it to the internet. Not only is the student leaving, in the wake of their opinion, a positive digital footprint but they are becoming stronger, more engaged digital citizens. This also parlays into creating a space for comment and conversation. I think the possibilities are endless.

If I want to promote and encourage dynamic, problem solvers, who are confident and thoughtful, who want to make a change for the better,  I will have to go to the wrong side to make it right.

Don’t ever knock a checklist…wait is my husband reading this….
